Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain streaming and batch data pipelines that are scalable and reliable.
- Develop and manage HackerRank’s Modern Lake House Platform using AWS native infrastructure.
- Build and optimize complex data models for insights and self-service analytics.
- Evaluate technologies, develop POCs, and solve technical challenges with innovative solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with global, cross-functional remote teams to deliver high-quality applications.
Requirements for the Data Engineer Role
To qualify for this work-from-home job, you’ll need:
- 1+ years of experience in designing and developing data engineering solutions.
- Expertise in Spark, Spark Structured Streaming, or PySpark/Scala Spark.
- Strong knowledge of database technologies like Redshift or Trino.
- Proficiency in data modeling for Big Data Solutions.
- Familiarity with BI tools like Looker, Power BI, or Tableau is a big plus.
